Ahh fashion week…A crazy, inspiring and exhausting time…I’m Loving EVERY second of it! On “official business” for TWELV Magazine a new high fashion magazine coming out in April 2012. I’m handling the PR and working with a dynamic group of individuals to get the magazine off the ground. Which means throwing my 6 inch heels on, hitting the ground running and networking with as many people as I can during fashion week to get the word out about TWELV!!
Now for the shows…
Western, meets Goth, meets leather, meets fur…totally unexpected combination but it MORE than worked. I was in love with every look that came down the runway!

Minimalist in nature, this presentation had sleek lines, simple designs and no accessories…but still managed to make an impact. The dewy eyed makeup with the dark lip is definitely a look I’ve been rocking a lot this winter, and loved to see such a strong makeup look with the understated designs.
I didn’t know much about this brand before going to the show, but after this presentation I will definitely be paying attention. The cream and white colors mixed with silver and gold appliques was stunning. The long gowns draped on the models bodies perfectly, glided when they walked and could have been oscar worthy moments. I also loved the asymmetrical hems on the dresses that were long in the back, and short in the front. The Houghton woman is not only sophisticated in many menswear inspired looks, but knows how to be the most feminine and graceful woman in the world. BRAVO!

The D.Piper Twins
My fellow Ghanaian “sisters”, I got their invitation last minute and but new I had to make it to their show! These girls KNOW how to make a party dress, and their glistening short numbers and a long gown with a daring back cut out definitely got the attention of the crowd. My favorite look though, was a collared, victorian esque dress with a puff skirt underneath. The African print was insane, and the detailing around the chest was executed very well! I will definitely be borrowing that number!
